Ryan Wheatley is a Melbourne-based photographer working across commercial and people.

His work centres on creating clear, considered imagery for brands, spanning product, food and beverage, and portrait-led campaigns. With a strong foundation in both natural and studio lighting, he brings a flexible approach that moves easily between controlled, detail-driven environments and more open, human moments.

Equally comfortable working with product and people, Ryan approaches each project with a focus on balance, allowing form, light and subject to sit naturally within the frame. This results in imagery that feels resolved without being overworked, with a consistent visual language that carries across campaign, eCommerce and editorial applications.

His work includes national campaigns such as Be That Teacher for the Australian Government and Road Workers Are People Too for Transport Victoria, both centred on capturing authentic, human moments at scale and translating them across TV, digital and outdoor.
